An Act relative to valid identification at voting polls.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

Section 76B, Chapter 54 of the General Laws is hereby amended by adding the following subsection:-

(c) -- Any person who seeks to vote in a public election is required to establish his or her qualifications to vote by providing a current valid photo form of identification to election officials prior to voting. Acceptable forms of photo identification provided is either a current driver’s license, a government employee card, a pilot’s license, military identification, a Medicaid or Medicare card, and for students, a photo identification university card.
