An Act relative to medical loss ratios.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Section 6 (b) of Chapter 176J is hereby amended by inserting after clause (x) the following new clause (y):-

(y) For purposes of this section, medical loss ratios shall not include fees on commissions included in premiums that are collected solely for the purpose of passing such fees or commissions on to insurance agents or brokers to the extent such fees or commissions are actually paid.
