An Act relative to annoying telephone calls.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1.  Chapter 269A of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting after section 14A the following section:-

Section 14B.  Whoever allows his telephone to be used by another to telephone a person or his family, repeatedly, for the sole purpose of harassing, annoying or molesting that other person or his family or for the purpose of repeatedly using indecent or obscene language to that person or his family, shall be punished by a fine of not more than $500 or by imprisonment for not more than 3 months, or both.
