In the Year Two Thousand Eleven

An Act relative to criminal background checks for youth program volunteers.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 172, Chapter 6 of the Massachusetts General Laws, as amended by Chapter 256 of the Acts of 2010, is hereby amended by inserting at the end thereof the following new subsection:
(30) Local law enforcement agencies may obtain criminal offender record information including sealed records for persons volunteering at an organization primarily engaged in providing activities or programs to children 18 years of age or less.
