An Act relative to independent contractors.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

Section 1.

Chapter 149 Section 148B is hereby amended by adding at the end of the paragraph the following:-

(f) For the purposes of this chapter and chapter 151 an individual performing any service shall be defined as an employee unless said employee satisfies the requirements of this section or satisfies the requirements of any other definition of an employee which is recognized by any agency or department of the Commonwealth.
