An Act relative to Bridgewater State Hospital.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Section 18 of Chapter 125 of the General Laws is hereby amended by adding the following paragraph:—

The medical director shall ensure that Bridgewater State Hospital provides services in compliance with all applicable federal and state standards, statutes, and regulations. The medical director shall seek, and make every effort to obtain and retain, accreditation by the National Commission on Correctional Health Care and hospital level accreditation by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Hospitals.
