An Act relative to teacher recertification requirements.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Chapter seventy-one of the Massachusetts General Laws, as appearing in the 2008 Official Edition, is further amended in section 38G, line 196 by deleting “one hundred” and inserting “twenty-five”; and further, by adding a sentence to the paragraph as follows:- “To achieve the goal of establishing a recertification fee that is commensurate with the actual costs of teacher recertification, the department of elementary and secondary education shall provide a public accounting of the costs of carrying out its certification and recertification procedures to the commissioner of administration no later than December 31, 2011.”
