An Act relative to a Cable PEG Access Enterprise Fund.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Chapter 44 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2008 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after Section 53F½ the following new section:-

Section 53F¾.  A city or town who accepts the provisions of this section pursuant to section 4 of chapter 4 may establish a separate account classified as a “Cable PEG Access enterprise fund,” in accordance with the requirements of section 53F ½, to hold all proceeds assessed to satisfy any requirements imposed on the cable operator by the franchise agreement to support public, educational, or governmental channels or the use of such channels.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
