An Act relative to ships carrying hazardous material.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Chapter 85 of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting after section 36 the following section:-

Section 1A. All ships over 150 feet in length whose primary cargo is hazardous material shall have at least 25 feet of clearance under all bridges. This section shall not apply to ships under sail.
