An Act authorizing the State Retirement Board to reinstate Anthony Taverna as a member of the teachers retirement system..
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of chapter 32 of the General Laws or any other general or special law to the contrary, the teachers retirement board is hereby authorized and directed to reinstate as a member in the teachers retirement system Anthony Taverna, a former teacher in the Minuteman Regional Vocational Technical School District; provided, however, that said Anthony Taverna shall repay to said teachers retirement system for the purpose of establishing creditable service the amount of regular deductions together with regular interest from the period of service for which he waived his retirement allowance, such repayment to be made in one lump sum or in installments as the board shall prescribe.
