In the Year Two Thousand Eleven

An Act relative to the fuel efficient vehicle tax credit.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 25 of chapter 64H of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2008 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting, after the first sentence, the following:-- “Any vehicle that achieves an increase of 10 percent fuel efficiency as compared to the average vehicle of its class as defined by the United States Environmental Protection Agency shall be considered fuel efficient and entitled to a 3 percent reduction on the tax of sale.”
