In the Year Two Thousand Eleven

An Act Relative to Home Rule Petitions.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Notwithstanding any general or special law, or rule or regulation to the contrary, all home rule petitions shall be reported out from their committee of origin within 60 days after being filed and shall be acted upon by the General Court within 120 days of filing; provided, however, that if the home rule petition is not acted upon by both branches of the General Court within said time, it shall automatically be deemed enacted and laid before the Governor.
