SECTION 1. Clause (50) of Section 6 of Chapter 136 of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting after the last sentence in the first paragraph the following: -
“Notwithstanding the provisions of the previous two sentences, this exemption shall apply to any store or shop that receives the approval of the municipal licensing board where said store or shop is located; provided that, the municipal licensing board has determined that the shop or store opening on any said legal holiday is not discriminatory to its employees, the store or shop primarily services ethnic foods and goods, does it not violate any collective bargaining agreement and it is able to comply with all other laws and regulations.”
SECTION 2. Section 15 of Chapter 136 of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting at the end of the sentence in the third paragraph the following:-
“;provided however, notwithstanding the provisions of this clause, the board shall approve an exemption for any store or shop that receives the approval of the municipal licensing board where said store or shop is located; provided that, the municipal licensing board has determined that the shop or store opening on any said legal holiday is not discriminatory to its employees, the store or shop primarily services ethnic foods and goods, does it not violate any collective bargaining agreement and the it is able to comply with all other laws and regulations.”
SECTION 3. Section 16 of Chapter 136 of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting at the end of the last sentence of the first paragraph the following:-
“;provided however, notwithstanding the provisions of this clause, any store or shop that receives the approval of the municipal licensing board where said store or shop is located; provided that, the municipal licensing board has determined that the shop or store opening on any said legal holiday is not discriminatory to its employees, the store or shop primarily services ethnic foods and goods, does it not violate any collective bargaining agreement and it is able to comply with all other laws and regulations.”
