An Act to Incorporate Suicide Prevention Training into Educator Professional Development Plans.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Section 38Q of chapter 71 is hereby amended by inserting, after the word ‘styles’ in line 15, the following:-

“Said plan shall also include training in the area of suicide prevention.”

SECTION 2. Section 38Q of chapter 71 is hereby amended by inserting, after the word ‘students’ in line 30, the following:-

“The plan shall also include suggested suicide prevention techniques for the processional development of educators.”

SECTION 3.  Section 1D of chapter 69 as amended by 2010, 92, Sec. 2 is hereby amended by inserting, after the phrase ‘AIDS education’ in line 31 the following:-

“suicide prevention,”
