An Act to eliminate the use of the MCAS for high school graduation.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 1D of chapter 69 of the General Laws, is hereby amended by adding after the word “graduation” in paragraph (i) the following words: —; provided however, that the MCAS test, so called, or other state-developed, standardized test, shall not be a component of the competency determination.
