An Act relative to prohibiting the collection of signatures for initiative or referendum petitions for compensation.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

Section 22A of chapter 53 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2008 Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding the following sentence:— No person shall engage in the collection of signatures for a initiative or referendum petition for money or any other thing of value.
