An Act relative to public housing.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Section 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of any general or special law to the contrary, the Bureau of Special Investigations, located within the Office of the State Auditor, is hereby authorized and directed to investigate the fraudulent reporting of income and assets by a tenant or tenants residing in state aided public housing. Circumstances where there is a reasonable likelihood of fraud may be reported to and investigated by said Bureau upon referral by a state aided housing authority.
