By Mr. Fernandes of Milford, a petition (accompanied by bill, House, No. 2168) of John V. Fernandes and Karen E. Spilka for legislation to require an administrative fee to be paid to the Commissioner of Probation by persons requesting the sealing of criminal records.  The Judiciary.

An Act relative to the sealing of criminal records.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1.  The first sentence of section 100A of chapter 276 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2008 Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding the following words: -  ;provided, however, that the person making the request shall pay an administrative fee to the office of the commissioner of probation in the amount of $50 per case file .

SECTON 2.  The first sentence of section 100B of said chapter 276 of the General Laws, as so appearing, is hereby amended by adding the following words:-   ;provided, however, that the person making the request shall pay an administrative fee to the office of the commissioner of probation in the amount of $50 per case file .
