Menino for legislation to include the commissioner of the fire department in the city of Boston as an ex-officio member of the Fire Prevention Regulations Board.  Public Safety and Homeland Security.

An Act relative to the Fire Prevention Regulations Board.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

Section 1.  Section 4 of Chapter 22D of the General Laws is hereby amended in the first sentence after the words “shall consist of the state fire marshal, ex-officio, who may designate from time to time a person serving in the department to act temporarily as a member of such board, with the same powers and duties as other members of said board,” by adding the following:-

“,the Boston Fire Commissioner, ex-officio, who may designate from time to time a person serving in the department to act temporarily as a member of such board, with the same powers and duties as other members of said board.”
