An Act relative to proper notification of license renewal.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, Section 8 of Chapter 90 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2006 Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding, at the end of the section, the following words:
“The Registry of Motor Vehicles shall notify, via US Mail, all motor vehicle operators that their license is due to expire, at minimum, 45 days prior to said expiration.”
