An Act relative to local election officials.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Section 1. Chapter 51 of the General Laws, as appearing in the most recent edition, is hereby amended by adding after Section 17 the following new section:-
“Section 17A. Every member of the Board of Registrars and/or Election Commission and any other person responsible for the administration of the election laws in a city or town shall attend annual mandatory training on the applicable state and federal election laws and regulations conducted by the Office of the Secretary of the Commonwealth”.
Section 2. Section19B and 19C of Chapter 41, of the General Laws are hereby repealed.
Section 3. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
