Section 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the state secretary shall have the authority to add or change any dates relating to the submission of nomination papers for the certification of signatures, the filing of certified nomination papers and proceedings before the State Ballot Law Commission for the presidential primary in 2012 he deems necessary for the orderly administration of the election by providing notice of such change to any affected person, by filing notice with the Rules and Regulations Division, by posting on his website and by whatever other means he deems appropriate.
Section 2. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the state secretary shall have the authority to print names of candidates for state committee who are otherwise qualified to be printed on the ballot in the district in which they are registered to vote, regardless of what district name was printed on their nomination papers.
Section 3. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
