An Act to protect trees in public parks.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Chapter 266 of the General Laws is hereby amended by striking out section 98A, as appearing in the 2008 Official Edition, and inserting in place thereof the following section:-
Section98A. Whoever willfully, intentionally and without right, or wantonly and without cause destroys, defaces, mars or injures any playground apparatus, equipment, trees or native flora, located in a public park or playground shall be punished by a fine or not more than $2,000.
