An Act relative to improving the protection of children.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. The third paragraph of subdivision (4) of Section 26 of chapter 119 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2008 Official Edition, is hereby further amended by striking out clause (ii) and inserting in place thereof, the following:-
(ii) the parent has been convicted by a court of competent jurisdiction of the murder or voluntary manslaughter of another child of such parent or of the child’s other parent, of aiding, abetting, attempting, conspiring or soliciting to commit such murder or voluntary manslaughter or of an assault constituting a felony which resulted in serious bodily injury to the child, to another child of such parent or to the child’s other parent.
