In the Year Two Thousand Eleven

An Act reducing the Commonwealth's unfunded healthcare liability.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Subdivision (1) of section 5 of chapter 32 of the General Laws, as most recently amended by chapters 21and 25 of the Acts of 2009, is hereby further amended by inserting after paragraph (n) the following new paragraph:
(n) Notwithstanding any provision of this chapter to the contrary, members hired after January 1, 2012 who are classified in Group 1 and Group 2 shall complete twenty years or creditable service before the termination of his employment to be vested for purposes of receiving health insurance.
