An Act to allow translators for driving tests.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Section 8 of chapter 90 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2008 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting, after the third sentence, the following sentence:-

To facilitate the examination of a non-english speaking applicant, the applicant may be accompanied by an interpreter of his own choosing, whose credentials are deemed suitable to the registrar, to assist in the oral and road portion of the driving test.
