An Act relative to speed limits.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1.Section 18 of Chapter 90 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2008 Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding at the end of the first paragraph of the section the following new sentence:-
The Board of Selectmen of a town or the Mayor of a city may direct the removal of a sign purporting to establish a speed limit if said Board of Selectmen or Mayor determine that said sign is inconsistent with the reasonable speed established for that section of the local road.
