An Act relative to the statute of limitation for manslaughter.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1.  Section 63 of chapter 277 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2008 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out the first sentence and inserting in place thereof the following 2 sentences:-

An indictment for murder, which is to include manslaughter and any lesser offense thereof, may be found at any time after the death of the person alleged to have been murdered. An indictment for manslaughter, which is to include any lesser offense thereof, may be found at any time after the death of the person alleged to have been killed.
