An Act Establishing a Sick Leave Bank for David C. Napolitano, an Employee of the Trial Court.

Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to a sick leave bank for a certain employee of the trial court, , therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

Notwithstanding any general or special law, rule or regulation to the contrary, the department of probation shall establish a sick leave bank for David C. Napolitano, an employee of the department of probation in the office of community corrections. Any employee of the department of probation may voluntarily contribute 1 or more sick, personal or vacation days to the sick leave bank for use by David C. Napolitano. Whenever David C. Napolitano terminates employment with the department or requests to dissolve the sick leave bank established by this act, the balance of the sick leave time shall be transferred to the trial court paid leave bank. Sick leave bank days may not be used for absences unrelated to the illness or disability that necessitated the establishment of the sick leave bank as determined by the department.
