An Act establishing a sick bank leave for Yvonne B. Smith, an employee of the Massachusetts Trial Court.

Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to establish a sick leave bank for certain employee of the Trial Court, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1.   Notwithstanding any general or special law or rule or regulation to the contrary, the Trial Court of Massachusetts shall establish a sick leave bank for Yvonne B. Smith, an employee of the department.  Any employee of a department within the Trial Court of Massachusetts may voluntarily contribute 1 or more of his sick, personal or vacation days to the sick leave bank for use by Yvonne B. Smith. Whenever Yvonne B. Smith terminates employment with the department or requests to dissolve the sick leave bank, the balance of the sick leave time shall be transferred to the extended illness leave bank.  Therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.
