An act relative to scholastic achievement in the commonwealth.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
The twelfth paragraph of section 1I of chapter 69 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2008 Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding the following sentence:- Said MCAS assessment shall be the official standard for scholastic achievement in the commonwealth and shall be based on the state’s own curriculum framework as; provided, however, that said board shall not adopt the national education standards in place of such MCAS standard.
