An Act designating a certain bridge in the town of Natick as the Silvano Anthony Melchiorri Bridge.
Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to designate a certain bridge in the West Natick section of the town of Natick as the Silvano Anthony Melchiorri Bridge, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
The bridge located on Speen Street south of Route 135 in the West Natick section of the town of Natick, under the care and control of the department of conservation and recreation, shall be designated and known as the Silvano Anthony Melchiorri Bridge, in memory of Silvano Anthony Melchiorri, to honor his contributions as a veteran, firefighter, Town Meeting member, developer, musician, and pillar of the town of Natick. The department of conservation and recreation shall erect and maintain a suitable marker bearing this designation in compliance with the standards of the department.
