An Act authorizing the board of selectmen of the town of Sherborn to enter into an employment contract for the position of police chief.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1.Notwithstanding the provisions of General Laws chapter 30B, or any other general or special law to the contrary, the Board of Selectmen of the Town of Sherborn are authorized to enter into an employment contract for the position of Police Chief of the Town of Sherborn for a term not to exceed five years in accordance with General Laws chapter 41 section 108O.
SECTION 2.And further provided that the Board of Selectmen is hereby authorized to approve amendments to the requested legislation which are within the scope of the general public objectives of this petition, or to take any other action related thereto.
