An Act exempting the position of deputy police chief in the town of Canton from the civil service laws.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1.  Notwithstanding the provisions of any general or special law to the contrary, the position of Deputy Police Chief in the Town of Canton shall not be subject to the provisions of c. 31 of the General Laws.

SECTION 2.  This Act shall take effect upon passage.
