Miceli and Bruce Tarr (by vote of the town) for legislation to exempt the town of Wilmington from liability relative to the solid waste landfill, commonly known as the "Maple Meadows Landfill" located in said town.  Environment, Natural Resources and Agriculture.  [Local Approval Received.]

An Act exempting the town of Wilmington from liability.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the town of Wilmington shall not be found or held liable, with respect to the solid waste landfill and site located in the town known as the “Maple Meadows Landfill”, pursuant to: (a) chapter 21C or chapter 21E of the General Laws or any regulations, guidelines, orders, or approvals promulgated thereunder; (b) sections 150A or 150A1/2 of chapter 111 the General Laws, or any regulations, guidelines, orders or approvals promulgated thereunder; or (c) the “Massachusetts Contingency Plan”, section 40 of chapter 310 of the Code of Massachusetts Regulations or any guidelines, orders, or approvals promulgated thereunder .

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
