An Act relative to the town charter in the town of North Andover.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Chapter 4 of the charter of the town of North Andover, which is on file in the office of the archivist of the commonwealth as provided by section 12 of chapter 43B of the General Laws, is hereby amended by striking out section 4-7-1 and inserting in place thereof the following section:-

4-7-1 Warrants for the payment of town funds, prepared and signed by the town accountant in accordance with general law procedures shall be submitted to the Town Manager, and his approval there of shall be sufficient authorization for payment by treasurer or his designee, provided, however, that one selectman designated by the full board of selectmen shall approve all warrants in the manager’s absence or in the event of a vacancy in his office.
