An Act relative to driver's license reinstatement hearings.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Chapter 90 of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting after section 22D the following section:-
Section 22D½ . For the purposes of a hearing to reinstate a license suspended for a criminal offense or for the consideration of the granting of a hardship license due to a suspended license for a criminal offense, a person shall be deemed to have been convicted if he pleaded guilty or nolo contendere or was found or adjudged to be guilty by a court of competent jurisdiction, whether or not he was placed on probation without sentence or under a suspended sentence or the case was placed on file or the case was continued without a finding and subsequently dismissed. The registrar, in his discretion, shall consider any such convictions in the determination of reinstatement or granting of a hardship license.
