An Act relative to the city clerk of the city of Revere.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

Section 1.  Notwithstanding the provisions of Section 12 of Chapter 41 of the Massachusetts General Laws to the contrary, commencing on January 25, 2013 and every five years thereafter, the term of office of the City Clerk of the City of Revere shall be five years from the date of his or her appointment.

Section 2.  Notwithstanding the provisions of Section 18 of Chapter 43 of the Massachusetts General Laws to the contrary, commencing on January 25, 2013 and every five years thereafter, the term of office of the City Clerk of the City of Revere shall be five years from the date of his or her appointment.

Section 3.  This act shall take effect upon its passage.
