An Act relative to fair reimbursement to municipalities for costs relating to storms.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

Section 85B of chapter 164 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2008 Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding after the words “service outage” thereof the following:-

; provided further, that subsequent to extended outages that were caused as a result of a company failure, municipalities adversely affected by extended outages shall be able to recover such costs incurred as a consequence of monitoring downed lines, malfunctioning equipment, and other costs associated with said outages.
