Section 1.Notwithstanding the provisions of chapter 40, section 3 of the General Laws, or any other general law or special law to the contrary, the Natick Board of Selectmen is authorized to issue a Request for Proposals to lease for a term not to exceed ninety-nine (99) years (including any extension or renewal terms) the property owned by the town of Natick at 27-53 South Avenue in Natick, MA, which is now or formerly the site of a municipal parking lot, for the purpose of construction, operation and management of a facility which would provide residential use, and/or commercial use, and/or institutional use, and/or a combination of uses which are consistent with the town’s goals for Natick Center, and which may provide, but is not required to provide, public parking and/or private parking associated with said use; and which would authorize the Natick Board of Selectmen to enter into a lease for said property for a term not to exceed ninety-nine (99) years (including any extension or renewal terms).
Section 2.This act shall take effect upon its passage.
