An Act relative to the installation of nontransparent window materials.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Section 9D of chapter 90 of the General Laws, as appearing the 2010 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the third paragraph the following paragraph:-
Any person equipping a motor vehicle with nontransparent windshield and window materials shall be licensed as an installer with the registrar. In order to effect this licensing of installers, the registrar shall promulgate rules and regulations establishing: (1) the application by and examination of installers, (2) the application and examination fees to be paid annually by said installers and (3) the suspension and revocation of said licenses. In addition, licensed installers shall register with the chief of police in each municipality where installation occurs prior to any installation of nontransparent window materials.
