SECTION 1. The town of Chelmsford, acting through its board of selectmen, may lease for agricultural purposes, for a term or terms not to exceed 10 years, all or a portion of the following parcels of town-owned land acquired for open space purposes:
A.Board of Assessors Map 109, Block 421, Lot 32, containing 14 acres, more or less, and further shown as “Lot 4” on a plan of land dated March 7, 1997 prepared by Ludwig Surveying Assoc., Inc., 378 Littleton Road, Westford, Mass., entitled “Compiled Plan of Land in Chelmsford, Mass.”, scale 1” = 100’, which plan is recorded with Middlesex North District Registry of Deeds at Plan Book 197, Plan 104, and described in a deed to the town recorded in Book 22255, Page 37;
B.Board of Assessors Map 109, Block 421, Lot 36, containing 8.52 acres, more or less, and further shown as “Lot 5A” (a combination of Lot A and Lot 5) on a plan of land dated October 4, 2000 prepared by Ludwig Surveying Assoc., Inc., 378 Littleton Road, Westford, Mass. entitled, “Compiled Plan of Land in Chelmsford, Massachusetts,” scale 1” = 50’, which plan is recorded with the Middlesex North District Registry of Deeds at Plan Book 204, Plan 51, and described in a deed to the town recorded in Book 22255, Page 45.
SECTION 2. The leases authorized hereunder shall be subject to all other applicable provisions of law, including chapter 30B of the general laws.
SECTION 3. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
