SECTION 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of any general or special law to the contrary and pursuant to the provisions of article 97 of the amendments to the constitution of the commonwealth of Massachusetts, the town of Groton, acting by and through its board of selectmen, is hereby authorized to convey to the division of fisheries and wildlife, acting by and through its department of fish and game, for no consideration, one or more easements or lesser interests through a perpetual conservation restriction under sections 31,32 and 33 of chapter 184 of the General Laws, for the preservation and protection of wildlife and habitat and passive recreation and other consistent purposes in certain parcels of land identified in section 2 and shown on town of Groton assessor's map 210, lot 4 and assessor's map 210, lot 5, upon such terms and conditions as the board of selectmen shall determine to be appropriate.
SECTION 2. The parcels are identified as follows: all of the lands in the town of Groton recorded in certain orders of taking and deeds recorded in the Middlesex south registry of deeds in book 5791, page 249; book6537, page 216; book6537, page 217; book 6702, page 238; book 6702, page 239; book 8015, page 190; book 11524, page 550; book 11524, page 552; book 13468, page 252; book 23290, page 590; book 8912, page 189; and book 40167, page 425.
SECTION 3. Notwithstanding the provisions of any general or special law to the contrary and pursuant to the provisions of article 97 of the amendments to the constitution of the commonwealth of Massachusetts, the town of Groton, acting by and through its board of selectmen and its board of water commissioners, is hereby authorized to convey to the division of fisheries and wildlife, acting by and through its department of fish and game, for no consideration, one or more easements or lesser interests through a perpetual conservation restriction under sections 31, 32, and 33 of chapter 184 of the General Laws, for the preservation and protection of wildlife and habitat and passive recreation and other consistent purposes in certain parcels of land identified in section 4 and shown on town of Groton assessor's map 210, lot 8, upon such terms and conditions as the board of selectmen and the board of water commissioners shall determine to be appropriate.
SECTION 4. The parcels are identified as follows: all of the lands in the town of Groton recorded in certain orders of taking and deeds recorded in the Middlesex south district registry of deeds in book 30618, page 314 and shown as parcel 8A on plan 1211 of 2003, sheet 2.
SECTION 5. This act shall take effect upon passage.
