By Mr. Ashe of Longmeadow, a petition (subject to Joint Rule 12) of Brian M. Ashe and others for legislation to establish a special fund to be used for the replanting of trees in certain storm damaged areas.  Environment, Natural Resources and Agriculture.

AN ACT ESTABLISHING A SPECIAL FUND TO BE USED FOR THE REPLANTING OF TREES.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

Notwithstanding the provisions of chapter 44B of the General Laws, the community preservation committee shall assist the cities and towns who suffered damage due to the June first Tornado, the August Microbursts and the October snow storm of 2011 by establishing a special fund to be used for the replanting trees on public ways and parks that were damaged.
