An act Amending Special Act, Chapter 327 of the Acts of 1988 to Authorize the Orleans, Brewster and Eastham Groundwater Protection District to Provide Retirement Benefits for District Employees.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1: Special Act, Chapter 327 of the Acts of 1988, is hereby amended to include the following additional section:

Upon any dissolution of the Orleans, Brewster and Eastham Ground Water Protection District, the retirement benefits, including without limitation pension and health benefits, of vested District employees, shall be paid by the Towns of Brewster, Eastham and Orleans in equal amounts with each Town paying a one-third share, pursuant to the dissolution provisions of the Intermunicipal Agreement.

SECTION 2: this act shall take effect upon its passage
