An Act designating a certain bridge in the City of Fall River as the Army Specialist Scott A. Andrews memorial bridge.

Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to designate a certain bridge in the city of Fall River as the Army Specialist Scott A. Andrews Bridge, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

Bridge F-02-053 on Route 79 in the city of Fall River shall be designated and known as the Army Specialist Scott A. Andrews Memorial Bridge in memory of Army Specialist Scott A. Andrews who was killed in action in Afghanistan. The Massachusetts Department of Transportation shall erect suitable markers bearing this designation in compliance with the standards of the department and any existing historic preservation guidelines or statutes.
