An Act relative to workers' compensation insurance.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Section 25C of chapter 152 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2008 Official Edition, is hereby amended in subsection (5), by striking out in the first sentence the words, “a fine of not more than one thousand five hundred dollars or by imprisonment for not more than one year, or both”, and inserting in place thereof the following:- imprisonment in the state prison for not more than 5 years or by imprisonment in jail for not less than 6 months nor more than 2 1/2 years or by a fine of not less than $1,000 nor more than $10,000, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
