In the Year Two Thousand Eleven

An Act relative to the repeal of certain archaic laws.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Section 16A of Chapter 264 of the General Laws, is hereby repealed.

SECTION 2. Section 24 of Chapter 265 of the General Laws, is hereby repealed.

SECTION 3. Section 18 of Chapter 272 of the General Laws, is hereby repealed.

SECTION 4. Section 26 of Chapter 272 of the General Laws, is hereby repealed.

SECTION 5. Section 34 of Chapter 272 of the General Laws, as so appearing, is hereby amended by striking out, in lines 1 to 2, the words “commits the abominable and detestable crime against nature, either with mankind or” and inserting in place thereof the words:— engages in sexual relations.

SECTION 6. Section 35 of Chapter 272 of the General Laws, is hereby repealed.
