An Act relative to inspections of elevators in owner occupied single-family residences..
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. The General Laws are hereby amended in section 64 of chapter 143 by striking the words “provided, however, that elevators in owner occupied single-family residences shall be inspected and tested at intervals of not less than five years” and by inserting in place thereof the following words :-“, with the exception of single family owner occupied residences”
SECTION 2, This act shall take effect upon its passage.
