An Act to provide funding of certain collective bargaining agreements.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Chapter one hundred and fifty E of the Massachusetts General Laws, Section 7, as appearing in the 2006 Official Edition, is further amended as follows:—
In paragraph (b) by deleting the first sentence and substituting the following sentence:—
(b) The employer, other than the state lottery commission, shall submit to the appropriate legislature body within thirty days after the date on which the agreement is executed by the parties, a request for an appropriation necessary to fund the cost items contained therein; provided, that if the General Court is not in session at that time, such request shall be submitted at the next session thereof.
SECTION 2. Said Chapter one hundred fifty E is further amended in Section 7, paragraph (c) by deleting the first sentence and substituting the following sentence:—
(c) the provisions of this paragraph shall apply to the state lottery commission.
